A small release with three focused improvements — here's what changed and why.
Highlights for Unread Posts
New posts that haven't been read yet are now highlighted in your feed. You'll instantly see what's fresh without having to scan through cards you've already reviewed. Once you've looked at a post, the highlight clears automatically.
It's a small change, but it makes triaging faster — especially right after a scan finishes and you want to jump to the newest matches.
Test Your AI Connection Before Scanning
In the AI provider configuration form you'll now find a "Test connection" button. Click it before your first scan and Engaggit will verify that your provider, API key, and model are all working correctly.
No more guessing whether a scan failed because of your keywords or because of a typo in your API key. Test it once, know it works, then scan with confidence.
Adapting to Reddit's Recent Access Changes
Recently Reddit restricted anonymous access to old.reddit.com, which affects many tools in the Reddit ecosystem. Engaggit 3.1.0 adapts to all current Reddit changes so your scans keep working reliably.
If you had trouble scanning in the past few days or weeks, this update should resolve it. If you've been running the built-in browser and logging into Reddit, you were already unaffected — but the fix is now in place for everyone regardless of how you use the app.
